I have updated the class website with materials for next week. On Tuesday, we will be discussing the case study response assignment and reviewing for the midterm. In preparation for class, please print out and read the case study materials from 2005 and 2006 (links are on the website). Also, please come to class ready to discuss specific topics for the midterm exam. The only questions I won't answer are ones that begin, "Will _________ be on the test?" Instead, you should think about the concepts and issues we've been discussing and ask questions that will help you better understand these issues, which will, in turn, prepare you for the midterm.
On Thursday, you will take the midterm test. The best way to prepare for the test is to review the readings, the quizzes, and your class notes from the first half of the semester. The format of the midterm exam will be similar to the format of the quizzes, but the midterm test will also include some short-answer questions.
Finally, I am required to submit midterm grades to the university next Friday. I only submit grades for students who currently have a C- or lower in the class. Your midterm exam grade will be factored into your course grade before I submit midterm grades. You can check your grade at any time by going to the class website.
Please email me if you have any questions.
Thanks,
Quinn
