Journal #5: Academic Research
For this journal entry, write a few paragraphs responding to the following questions:
- What electronic tools do you use to conduct academic research?
- How often do you go to Parks Library to conduct research (find books, articles, talk to a librarian, etc.)? (Using Parks Library to meet your study group doesn't count.)
- Do your electronic searches for information rely on publicly available websites (Google, Wikipedia, etc.), specialized, private databases (LexisNexis, EBSCOhost, ProQuest, Gale, etc.), or a mix of both?
- If you look for an academic source online and can't find it, what do you do?
